Country Barn began with one simple problem — my own French Bulldog simply wouldn’t eat the food I was giving him.

I tried different options, but it led me to question something bigger: what was actually going into his bowl?

I spent weeks researching pet nutrition, studying ingredients and really reading the labels on pet food packaging. I quickly realised that the bold claims on the front of a bag didn’t always tell the whole story. Products marketed around premium ingredients like salmon or free-range chicken could contain as little as 4% of the named meat + unnamed items, fillers and cereals!

That was the moment I decided to do something differently.

I set out to create a brand built around high-protein recipes, exceptional flavour and ingredients you can understand — with a belief that every pet owner deserves to know exactly what they’re feeding their pet.

At Country Barn, we encourage you to look beyond the front of the bag. Read the ingredients. Understand the recipe. Know what goes into the bowl.
