Established in 2021 by Margaret Saunders, Jumaka Glass is a sole trader business built on years of creative development and specialist fused glass training. Margaret first began working with fused glass in 2017 and has since completed more than 50 masterclasses, workshops and courses, learning from respected glass artists including Bob Leatherbarrow, Catherine Dunstan, Claire Hall, Derek Hunt, Helen Slater Stokes, Ian Chadwick, Jennifer Kelly, Kim Brill, Liz Sparkes, Marguerite Beneke and Mark Hufford.
Each piece is bespoke and created from your photographs, memories and the details that make your pet unique. Whether you would like to mark a special milestone, celebrate a much-loved companion, or create a lasting memorial, Margaret works closely with you to design something personal, meaningful and carefully considered.
Commissions begin with a conversation, with no obligation. Margaret will listen to your ideas, explain the process, and be honest about what is possible in fused glass. She also welcomes more unusual commissions, including incorporating cremains where technically appropriate.

Margaret at Jumaka Glass is an exceptionally talented and thoughtful glass artist and designer. I approached her to create a glass artwork of my sister’s dog, Princess, who had recently passed away and was a truly precious member of our family. From the very beginning, Margaret treated the commission with such care, respect and sensitivity.
She took real time to understand Princess’s character and ensure she captured her essence. I sent numerous photos and, if anything wasn’t quite right, she asked for more so she could get every detail perfect. We discussed different ways to approach the piece, whether through glasswork or as a painting, and Margaret offered thoughtful guidance at each step.
Throughout the process she kept me updated on her progress, which was very reassuring, and when the artwork was finished she worked with me to choose a frame that complemented the piece beautifully and ensured it got to it’s final destination safely. The final result is a stunning, meaningful tribute that my sister absolutely treasures.
